[Print-friendly version]

The marker (answer) sheet is exactly the same as that used by the students. You should complete this sheet by filling in the answer circles carefully using either a 2B pencil or blue/black biro (red biro should not be used as it cannot be read by the scanner).

Completely fill in the circle but do not go outside the answer boxes, marking the correct answer to the corresponding question. Erase any errors carefully and cleanly - if using biro, correction fluid is permitted. Make sure that one is marked for each question in the exam (one answer only should be filled in unless multiple answers are required).

To enable the data from this sheet to be easily distinguished from student data, please write MARKER in the Surname section and the appropriate unit code (e.g. ABC123) in the Subject Code section, then fill in the corresponding circles in the response area (see example below). Do not write anywhere else on this form.

How to correctly fill in the answer sheet

As for student responses, it is important that you complete these mark their sheets as specified above. Sheets with extraneous marks on them or with incompletely erased marks will not necessarily be read as the student intended (the extra marks may be read as extra answers to questions). Also, sheets marked too lightly may be read as blank sheets. You should also be familiar with A Guide to the Use of Test Answer Sheets in Answering Multiple Choice Questions.

Sheets rejected by the scanner will be placed on the top of the batch when returned. An error report, which is a listing of the location and nature of the errors found, will be produced when the sheets are read (see also The Analysis).
